About Jake

A seasoned Associate Broker, Jake Kilgrow has been living the mountain experience his entire life and practicing real estate in destination ski resort communities for 25 years. An avid skier and outdoor enthusiast, Jake spent much of his informative years living, working and exploring the resort communities of Stanley, ID, Steamboat Springs, CO, the greater resort communities of Salt Lake City, UT, Lake Tahoe, CA and Verbier Switzerland. In 1999 Jake moved to Telluride, Colorado to work for a Sotheby’s affiliate and continue his career and focus in luxury real estate sales. While in Telluride, Jake met his wife to be and together they moved to Jackson Hole, Wyoming in 2003 so Jennifer could pursue her career ambitions.

 

Upon their move to Jackson Hole, Jake was a founding member of Teton Village Realty, a boutique real estate brokerage which was later acquired by Sotheby’s International corporate offices and at the time was the #3 real estate brokerage by dollar volume in Jackson Hole. Jake has consistently been a leading performer and has collectively sold over $250 million dollars in gross real estate sales; ranging in scale from ski-in/ski-out homes, vacant building sites, hotel-condominiums, ranches and commercial opportunities. In 2017 Jake and partners acquired Rendezvous Mountain Rentals and Property Management, a 20-year-old property management company with a portfolio of over 100 short-term rental vacation properties and 35 employees. When working with buyers and sellers, Jake provides his customers with the highest level of real estate knowledge, loyalty, integrity and fiduciary commitment.

 

With 25 years of real estate transactions, Jake has the needed experience, instinct and excels at the negotiating table, navigating the most challenging situations. Attention to detail and long-lasting client relationships adds to Jake’s reputation as a well-informed real estate broker with a track record of proven results. Over the span of his career he has been tested in varied market climates. He’s ridden the boom to bust of dot.com era, the real estate mortgage meltdown in 2008 and mostly recently the real estate surge as a result of the global pandemic. Collectively, his insightful experience makes Jake the right ‘Guide’ for navigating the ever-changing real estate market. Jake spends his free time with wife and two children exploring, traveling and any outdoor pursuits they can find. Jake is a board member of Teton Adaptive Sports and a strong supporter of many local and national non-profit organizations.
